I left this one out of the collage for some reason!
I noticed that I haven't stitched anything Noahish since 2012, so I think that is going to be my Stitching Theme for August.
Many of my woodpeckers have been showing up "Two by Two"
The Male and...
Female Hairy Woodpeckers often show up together.
Sometimes even on the same feeder.
I also saw to Red-breasted Sapsuckers.
In this case I think it was a juvenile (on the left) and an adult on the right.
The juvenile's head is more rust and brown colored.
This photo the kid is on the right.
Here's a young male Flicker. Not much color on his head yet.
Flickers too are showing up two by two.
Once again it's an adult and a juvenile.
The young female is still successfully begging to have her father feeder her.
I think there was a special reason that this magnificent Pileated Woodpecker came by Saturday morning.
Such a proud and stunning bird.
He flew as close to the house as I've ever seen him.
A very special treat.

Pileated woodpeckers are one of my favored birds too! THEY are majestic and their drilling sound is also proud and majestic! :)

What a great header. I do like a Noah's Ark design. I stitched a large Joan Elliott one for my older son when I was pregnant with him.
