Well named design for this time of year, and by yesterday the weather was almost summer-like - 74F.
Here's a riddle.
How do you know it's an unseasonably warm March day?
Is it the deer posing with the daffodils?
The deer shedding their heavy winter coats?
The sight of a hawk against a cobalt blue sky?
The red feathers of a male House Finch deepening in color day by day?
The welcome sound of a Sapsucker quietly...
tap-tap-tapping away?
Or more loudly drumming a courting call?
The white rump feathers of a female Flicker brightly flashing in the sunlight?
Nope, it's none of the above.
You know it is an unseasonably warm March day when a brush bunny is all
s t r e t c h e d o u t enjoying the afternoon sun.
Hey lady, can't you see I'm napping?

Squee! Those bunny pictures are adorable. Love those colors in your Spring stitch.
Such soft, gentle spring colors!
Love your finish. Love the colors in it. Great job on it.
Love the spring piece. And OMG that bunny is adorable, and you know they are my sworn enemies!
My favourite pic is that bunny all stretched out. Too cute!
That is such a cute little stitch!I love the pictures, birds and bunnies, can't beat that combination.
What a pretty pattern and colors for spring :)
That was just perfect! I am so dreaming of spring...this week I have been excited to walk on the sidewalks at work without snow! Great pictures Beth and that bunny sure looks like he was relaxed!
Loved this post, Beth--from the perfectly stitched spring flower to the sweet nature photos!! Everything looks great :)
Fantastic! lol about the bunny -- looks so happy! Love all the pics! And love your stitching finish too!
Your pictures are lovely! The daffodils haven't even poked their leaves thru here yet. It is really unseasonably cold still here...I am hoping that doesn't mean an unseasonably hot summer! LOL! :) That bunny, is so darling!
I heard that it has been really warm in your part of the country. I'd really enjoy summer-like weather if you could just send it my way. The coming week's forecast is rain/snow/ice mix every day. Love your First Day of Spring finish!
What a really cute spring flower you stitched! Love the bunny all stretched out, sunning itself! Too funny!
