I wish there was better contrast with the color of the hat and that of the scarf.  The photo shows them as very different, mine are much more muted. I know that most of you are fervently hoping that Old Man Winter is finally waving good-bye!

Though the Bushtits don't stay long, they stick to a schedule so I am able to see them 2 or 3 times a day.

They are such cute little birds.

And they have a very distinctive voice - they chatter to one another non-stop.  I now recognize their calls and can hear them as they fly to the feeders from the stands of young fir trees.  Take a listen to a 'typical voice' and you'll hear why I can instantly tell when these small birds are in the area.

Yesterday evening we had dozens and dozens of Robins.

They waited in the fir trees until almost dusk.  They then landed all around the house, and worked the mowed areas in search of worms. I hope, like the Robins, you too enjoyed a delicious dinner!

haha! No worms for me, thanks. We had what I call 'Mama Burritos'. Kind of like Qdobas black bean burritos. So yep, it was delicious.;)

If real Winter were as cute as that guy, I might not mind it so much!! =) What do you make all these cute finishes into?

That's one cute Old Man Winter!

The bushtits are very cute. Their song seem to emphasis their size, if you know what I mean.

I love Old Man Winter.Great colors. I am so glad we got home. When we got home last night, the hummingbird feeder was slush. We have had to thaw it already and it is only 9:30.

I never envisioned Old Man Winter as a snowman, lol. Your snowman is too cute to be the Old Man Winter that's been overly generous with the snow, wind and sub-zero temps we have here. You'd think I'd be in great shape after all the shoveling I've been doing.

I think I told you about the robins up at my work... must have been a hundred of them, flocking to the trees in my business park. One cold morning we could see them from our desks--they were in the tree right outside the office! The trees had been budding because we had had a couple of warm days (big mistake!)and they were eating the buds! May not have a pretty set of trees in the front of our building this spring! But it was fun to watch them, nonetheless.
