A gray and showery weekend was made for cross stitching.
I made good progress on Cottage Garden Samplings, "May's Lily".
First off I completed all the GAST "Chive" elements of the border.
I then had enough time to stitch all the border motifs.
Now on to the sentiment and the lilies of the valley.
This switching back to Standard Time had all the critters thinking I was late with breakfast!
Not that I ever set out to feed the deer...
The fawn is vacuuming up sunflower seeds.
While this one is in my front flowerbed munching on my native bleeding heart.
Bad Deer!
Another bad deer or two.
The larger doe is eating sunflower seeds that I set out in a birdbath (no water) for ground-feeding birds like Juncos and Sparrows.
Even the bunnies seemed impatient.
Come on Lady!
Hop to it!
I had three chipmunks great me on the woodpile near our Big Birdfeeder.
This one totally has the Chipmunk Chubby Cheek thing going!
Impatient aren't we?
Not sticking out his tongue - he has sunflower seed in his mouth.
I hope you had a hardy breakfast this morning!

hahaha! I had stupid Fiber One cereal. Fun getting older right?
Those little birds in the top border are so darling.
Yep my mind is in the gutter -- at first glance that pic with the two deer had me thinking they were being bad in a different way.......
Oh my goodness.... LOL
Changing the topic -- my dog didn't handle the time change either.
I always love your pics of wildlife and birds, and your kitties. :O)
Great pictures Beth!! I always enjoy your daily posts! :)
I love all the different borders on the series you are doing. All those critters are so cute!
The doe eating from the birdbath made me smile - so did the earthworm versus cat in your last post.
I love your new start!
All the critters seem very happy there!
lol! What impatient critters you have around you! Love how the May Lilies is coming along!
Sweet new start
Happy friends :)
Great stitching progress. Funny animals, looks like they are getting ready for the cold.
Lovely photos, love the chipmunks.
Though the deer are funny, it is not really a funny thing. Look how much you have to do to keep them out of areas... Tough decisions to keep feeding them and risk parts of the garden, or keep them out and who knows what happens to them... Love the chipmunk with the cheeks billowing out! Hugs!
