On today's Wednesday Walk we will be "Walking in a Winter Wonderland."
I awoke Tuesday morning to the sight of a 'Stealth Snow'.
Some time between midnight at 3:00am, about 2" of snow fell.
Just enough to provide most everything with a pretty white coat...
...and to cast the footprints of those who ventured out in the snow.
Do you recognize these tracks?
If you guess California Quail, then congratulations!
My covey of quail was quite active!
I know many of my Followers like Pam in Illinois think a snowfall is nothing to get excited about...
...but the 50+ kid in me still delights in a fresh covering of white flakes.
My sister's crop of garlic will survive this kind of weather without harm.
And though I know the cold, snowy weather makes survival harder for many of the birds and other critters...
...I do enjoy gazing upon a vista such as this - especially when I can go back inside to a nice, warm house! I can't help but wonder if our Trail Camera will have captured any usual activity with our Wintry Weather.
Special thanks to my Mom for taking many of the pictures in this post.

Well, guess what we got in Wisconsin yesterday also? Yep! 3" here. More tomorrow. Sigh!
simply gorgeous!!!! We have yet to have our first snow of the season...oh, we had a very, very light dusting, but nothing as beautiful as what you show here... thank you for sharing the beauty!
wow so beautiful..i love snow so much..
lots of love for you x
Oh I am so envious! Yes, I'm one of the nuts that loves snow!! My coworker and I do the "happy snow dance" together every time it snows while we are at work. Unfortunately we haven't danced yet this year.
Pretty ornament!
I am 60 + and still enjoy the first snow, not here yet..but the husband says that's because I don' t shovel it. He has a huge snow blower (and still does the neighbors sidewalks)...I think he like it!!!! I live in the city now, I use to live on an acre + and miss looking out back at all the trees and low bushes covered.....so thank you for your photos ( thanks Mom).
I'm the opposite, I'd be happy if we never had snow again in Scotland. Unfortunately we've already had some this winter - hopefully we won't have too much more. The footprints are very distinctive.
No snow for us yet but yours looks beautiful! I love the Snow :) Cute ornament finish.
I love those little Christmas trees, and WOW... your area look s magical!
Ok, you got me! The snow looks so pretty where you live. I do enjoy the way snow looks when it turns the trees all white. I always say I would love snow (and it could snow all winter) as long as it didn't land on the sidewalks, streets or my car!
Enjoy your white blanket!
Pretty snow scenes, Beth...We are due to get some tomorrow--our first of the season. I'm sure hoping for a white Christmas...
Your little tree finish is so cute!
Very pretty!!!
It snowed quite nicely here last week but it was all gone by nightfall. Back to looking like fall again! :)
