Hummingbird Saturday

Sometimes the hummingbirds appear happy to pose for me.

This female Rufous Hummingbird was busy grooming...

...thus the ruffled feathers!

It is amazing just how many different kids of feathers there are: iridescent green, soft downy brown and white feathers, and charcoal black wing feathers.

She does not need a mirror to know she's a pretty girl.

The first University of Oregon football game of the year is today.  Luckily it is a 7:30pm start so I'm able to enjoy most of the day before heading off the game.
