Monday night was COLD! Tuesday morning was FROSTY!
I now present: The First Wednesday Walk of December - (Photos Taken on a Frosty Tuesday Morning and a cold bright Tuesday Afternoon)
A cold foggy night (27F or colder) made for a pretty, sparkly, frosty morning.
Trees and brush alike were coated in frost.
While the valley was gloomy with fog, we had sunshine.
Later in the day the rose hips looked like nature's Christmas bouquet.
Our basic wild fern, the Sword Fern, looks good this time of year.
Our bridge over the Big Creek was littered with leaves and still frosty so I did not cross.
I loved the play of light on these small ferns high up on an Ash tree.
In the shade, the detritus of leaves, mushrooms, moss, and grass created an interesting tableau.
I love moss - can you tell?
We have one small patch of a sedge of some sort.
It too looks well this time of year.
Even without any rain for several days now, our small creek is burbling cheerfully along.
I'm cold and it's time to go back inside. I hope you enjoyed today's walk.

what gorgeous stitching you have done, just love your header picture, my favourite is Bent Creeks Ho Ho Ho kit, pity it was a ltd edition as I would love to have stitched this one
your silent night finish is great too
Love your frosty pics, even though I don't like the cold weather I like how it makes the trees look lovely
I love the first photo of the trees sparkling, very wintry and Decemberish.
It was a wonderful walk...thanks so much for asking me along!
Your Christmas "Header" of beautiful stitching projects is absolutely wonderful! Would you mind sharing the title of the "Block" piece in the second row? It looks like it would be a fun piece to stitch:)
"Silent Night" is really sweet. Thank you for such a nice wintery walk! The Rose Hips do indeed look just like a Christmas Bouquet!
Thanks for the frosty morning walk.
That was the perfect stitching choice! It matches your scenery...
