Wednesday's Walk

Let's go see what we can see.

At first glance, a rather unassuming stick.

But look how the end has been cut.

And lots of the bark peeled off.
The work of a beaver!

Glowing red/orange leaves.

Cottonwood leaves

Dorothy's Creek

Possible beaver action damming up the flow of water.

Hazel brush

Mushroom

Downy Woodpecker

And to end it all, a glorious sunset!

So familiar with the cause of your unassuming stick in the first couple photos, Beth. Enjoyed your walk!

What a fun walk. How exciting to find a stick that a beaver has been working with. I think I would have missed that, but thanks for pointing it out. I will definitely keep a closer eye out for such when I walk in beaver territory.
