Weekly Wrap Up

Design - "Owls' Night Out" - A Halloween Year - January
Designer - Homespun Elegance
Fabric - 30 count WDW 'Kudzu' linen
Fibers - DMC, WDW and GAST - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - 12 October 2012
Completed - 14 October 2012
Kudzu linen made for a great color to stitch.

What's up with woodpeckers?

The little Downy Woodpeckers have been active.

Here's a female in the front of the house.

And a male Downy at the back of the house.

Note how the stiff tail feathers are bent to help with the bird's balance.

Back to the front, where a female Hairy Woodpecker found something to eat.

The photos are fuzzy as the window is really, really dirty!

While I have had a male Acorn Woodpecker around, I did not get any photos, so will end with a male Flicker.
