It appears that we once again "own" a cat.

This sweet girl showed up on our property Labor Day.

My sister was able to get her to come inside on Tuesday.
We scoured the lost and founds on various sites, called the neighbors, and took her to the vet to see if she was chipped (she was not).
She's a bit of a mystery as she has had some dental work and maybe has been neutered. Her coat was in good shape and she was not infested with fleas, though she was pretty skinny.
She's been shy staying under the bed, but has begun to venture out.
She's affectionate and has started to play and snuggle.

My sister has named her Luna and she is now "ours".

Congratulations! Rescues are the best cats. So sad that they all have a back story of loss and abandonment and neglect.
I am so happy for all of you! Lucky Luna! Give her some good food and treats and she will fill right out. She's going to be fluffy, look at that tail!
