High up in the sky!
Looks like a small ground of Canada Geese to me.
I was hoping for something more exacting, but it's too early for White-front Goose migration.
Down on the ground.
This pair of California Quail have no young.
Nest failure? Predators?
I know you did your best!

It's a bit early for migration, but definitely time for geese to start their training flights for the young ones. I wonder if they get achy muscles too, when they do something they aren't used to?
Sad about the quail, hope next year is better for them.
