Wednesday's Walk

While there was snow at about 1000', no snow at lower elevations.
So let's take a walk.

There's wildlife out there!

I think the beaver has a been VERY busy!

Nonetheless, the Big Stream is flowing fast and free.

I love Licorice ferns. They are bright green in the winter.

One of our smaller creeks.

More ferns.

Moss and lichens.

Rosehips

Hazel brush

And a cheery Chestnut-backed Chickadee.
A fine walk.

Oh I enjoyed this walk Beth. I just had rose hip tea for the first time in my life this morning. It is from Armenia. It was a gift from my BIL for Christmas. The actual rose hips had to be brewed for 6 hours. It is okay. I hope the beavers are left alone! :)

what a fun walk you had, Beth! Looks like the beaver has added to his dam. What is that buck made from? For a minute there, I thought it was the real thing.

I love the walk, who made the deer? We don't have Chestnut backed Chickadees here. hugs
