Wednesday's Frosty Walk

While it is warmer today, the last few days have dawned cold and frosty.

I have a heater for one of my hummingbird feeders so I can leave it out at night. The others I take in and then put out when I wake up. See the frost on the branch?  It's cold!

The last rose of autumn froze and died as the sun casme up.

The grass crunched under my feet.

Brrr!

Frost-laced blackberry leaves.

Unknown tree

Hazel brunch leaves...

...and catkins.

Hawthorn berries.

Lovely! We had our first icy snow yesterday--it looks like a fairyland outside.
