They gray squirrels jump from the Douglas fir tree on to this feeder.
And this brown squirrel has figured out how to climb the post and gorge at this feeder.
Thank goodness the chipmunks pretty much behave.
And stay on the woodpile where they belong.
That's why they get shelled sunflower seeds...
...and peanuts for for Christmas!
A reward for good behavior.

Squirrels are so bad, but I still think they're cute!
My father loved to feed birds and watch them. He had several feeders, and one was on a little pole, stuck in the ground. A fat squirrel would go up the pole and eat all the food and chew on the feeder! One day, my father greased the pole and sat, laughing for a long time, as the squirrel would try to go up and slide back down! So funny!
They are all enjoying their Christmas food, lol.
Where did you get your pattern for the shamrock square? I would love to make a square for each month similar to that.
