Fighting the Fog

The fog returned for much of Wednesday. I battled it by stitching on Barbara Ana's "Warm Winter Welcome".

I am fortunate as crows do not hang out here.  I do see them in the morning and afternoon as they fly into town and back to their rookery.

It's much nicer to have the smaller birds like the Song Sparrows...

...and Oregon Juncos...

...and Black-capped Chickadees.

My Acorn Woodpeckers were at the peanut feeder after being AWOL for a couple of days.  This is the female...

...and here's the male.

They took turns with the Downy Woodpecker.

My female Flicker...

...decided to use my new suet feeder.  See how the tail-prop wooden segment beneath the food helps her to stay balanced?

Such pretty colors! Makes you believe spring may yet return. (Early to be feeling this way, I know.)

Love the colors in your stitching -- just what I need right about now. Your birds are so pretty too. Great Photography!

The bright colours really stand out, it's just what we need when it's dull and grey outside. Birds are so clever the way they balance.

What a lovely BRIGHT stitch! It just makes me smile!

Lovely photos of the birdies. I like the little chickadee with the wide stance, like he's guarding the area!

Yes, bright colors for sure! ON the way home from work just now, I saw a 'flock' of robins! There must have been twenty on the ground, and a bunch more were in the tree above! Not something I have ever seen before--never so many! Hugs!

I love the colors of your new project. The fog is so hard to predict. Yesterday we were in it all day but today it cleared up around noon and is sunny. Go figure!

Warm Winter Welcome is looking great. I love those bright colors. I'm curious--how many feeders do you have and how much bird food do you go through?
