Sleep In Sunday

Padma says a Sleep In Sunday morning is a 'purrfect' way to begin the day.

I think this Steller's Jay looks like he got up before combing his hair.

This one too - I didn't now birds could have "Bed Heads"!

This Oregon Junco on the other hand, looks quite well groomed and pulled together.

My little flock of Bushtits has become semi-regular.  The birds are very difficult to photograph as they are very small and only stay for 30 seconds or so before flitting off again.  The last few times I've been outside, and on the wrong side of the bird feeder to get a good shot.

They sure are darling little marshmallow birds.

What's larger than a marshmallow, but still puffy and cute?
Mr. California Quail.

I'm getting a pretty good group of Chickadees.  I've counted 5 or 6 at a time at the front feeder.  They and the Juncos are my main customers at the feeders in the backyard.

Ah, Gold-crowned Sparrows.  Goodness, but I do have lots of sparrows.  It will be interesting to see what totals I get for the Great Backyard Bird Count in mid-February.

What a life! Love the 'bed head' as I can totally relate for about ten days after I get my hair cut, till it grows out a bit! Ha! Marshmallow birds... cute! Hugs!

Oh my, that is a hair style to conjure with. Padma has it all worked out.
PS I couldn't comment on your recent blog post as the photos wouldn't load for me at all. I don't know what caused the blip.

Happy Sunday Beth! your bird pics are great. The cats look happy. What type of finishing do you do on your stitched pieces. Do you have a tree for some of them for Christmas? Do you have lots of bowl fillers? Do you frame them? Do you stitch them as gifts?? Inquiring minds want to know :)

My main visitors are the chickadees and Juncos too. I love those little bush tits. I wish I could attract some to the feeder.

I think the Stellar Jays have the same hair style as some of the guys I saw on the Grammy Awards Sunday night, lol. Love seeing all the birds.
