Doing Much Better

Thanks to everyone who took the time to comment and wish Tom-Cat a speedy recovery.  I did not sleep at all well Thursday night worrying about the poor, sick guy.  Fortunately for both of us, he did MUCH better Friday.  He was more active and had a good appetite.  I am hoping this trend continues.  But now Solomon appears to have caught the illness.  Back to the vet we go.

Early morning and late evening the Sapsuckers are active in the trees.

I am seeing more Juncoes as September progresses.

And scads of Goldfinches.

I wish I could take a photo of a flock in flight - they're very pretty.

And yes, we still have death-defying Chipmunks!

Today is supposed to be our last HOT day of the month.  And wouldn't you know it...there's a University of Oregon Football Game with a start time of 12:30pm.  I suffered through the sun and heat two weeks ago - now I get to do it again.  Today they forecast is 88F - Sunday is 72F - guess which I'd prefer?

We are in the 70's this weekend too! Wish we could send it your way... seems like the forecast was finally cooler for a week or so, with great cool evenings! Finally a break for the air conditioning! And my bill! Glad Tom Cat is doing better, but dang! Did it spread to Solomon?

Oh no! I hope it's not spreading to Solomon! Glad Tom Cat is doing better though. Dear dear. Lovely bird pics as usual. Hope the heat isn't too bad. Good that it will finally cool off!
