I attempted to get in one more Easter stitch.
This is "A Little Easter" by Lizzie Kate.
But I did not make much progress...
It was 72F on Saturday and again on Easter Sunday.
Padma and I spent hours and hours outside gardening. I even managed to get a light sunburn on the back of my neck. I'm a true Oregonian - the first sign of the sun, and I burn!
For many years now, in the early spring, a vacant lot in town becomes a thing of beauty.
Muscari in a wonderful violet-blue.
Over the years they've naturalized with wild abandon.
It is a pretty dense planting now.
And makes for a sea of blue!
The vignette lasts only a couple of weeks.
Perhaps because it is fleeting, I think it is lovely, lovely, lovely!

Beautiful! We call them grape hyacinths.
I love your photos - thank you so much for sharing them.
I can see that your sweet kitty loved the sunshine too! Great pix.
And. . . I love your April header picture!! Can't wait for your 'tour' of all your kitty cross-stitch!
What pretty colours on the LK, just right for spring. Lovely photos too, the flowers are gorgeous.
So pretty x
Oh, I love the grape hyacinths! Or Muscari. :D Beautiful!!! Lucky you to be sooooo warm!!!! Padma looks so happy....
It IS lovely, lovely, lovely! My first (and only) experience with Muscari was many years ago, when I planted them in the front yard and side yard. But I planted them too deep, so they never came up. Then as I was cleaning up the bed, I found a bump and dug around it and found 'white' muscari, trying and trying to reach daylight! I freed them, and they DID grow and turn purple for a short while! But then I moved... Hugs!
The muscari is beautiful! Sounds like you had a great helper on Saturday! I love your header and can't wait to hear more about all your lovely cats (great touch with the real ones mixed in). Wanda
It's beautiful. I planted some just in advance of the hurricane last fall and I have little pineapple-y looking things coming up. Soon, a sea of purple. (I think I planted 60 bulbs!)
Lovely April header! Your Easter stitch will be cute when it's finished. We had some warmer temps on Saturday, but not even close to 70. That's a beautiful flower filled lot.
I couldn't agree more. I love Muscari. I have three different colors in my garden right now. However, they are not quite that sea of blue! Love your new header. such cute cat designs and of course the real cats!
Beautiful!! What a happy kitty!!
