Under the Weather...at Least it's a Lovely Sky

I've been under the weather most of the week, so I've embarrasingly little progress to show on "Leaves".

My maternal grandfather called this a "Buttermilk Sky". Wikipedia has scientific information about the type of cloud moisture content.  I prefer just to enjoy the poetry inherent in the name - Buttermilk Sky!  Lovely.

Speaking of sky - Up in the Sky!  The Sharp-shinned Hawk is ever present.

And the last couple of days we've had an 'Out of Season' visitor - a female Evening Grosbeak.  She seems to be all alone.   I hope she is able to hook up with a larger group.

No lack of Jays - plenty of Steller's Jays and...

...Scrub Jays too.

A little Chipmunk has to be pretty aggressive to fight off the Jays and get a share of the sunflowers.
