Public Art

On Friday afternoon my Mom and I attended a small gallery open house.
I'll share the open house, but today I want to show you the public art on the buildings along the block.

There were two cool metal gates on opposite sides of the street.
Here's the first.

On one side of the street artist Anne Storrs created an Owl...

...a Frog...

...and a Squirrel out of cast concrete.

Here's the second gate.

On the other side of the street Anne displayed cast concrete Ginger...

...Ninebark...

...and Bunchberry leaves.  Isn't that cool?

So beautiful! The metal gates remind me of Scherenschitte or however you spell that -- the cut paper art. So pretty! Love the cast concrete too!

Those are very cool, such detail in concrete. I love the animal faces.

Love those concrete animals! They look a bit like the ones you see on Totems.
