Autumn Leaves Will Fall

I got lots of comments, hints, helps, suggestions for my next stitch.  I picked Bent Creek's "Leaves".  The title seemed especially fitting for this time of year both for stitching and for walking.

It's Wednesday, let's take a walk.
With the return of moisture...
We have mushrooms galore.

They are popping up everywhere.

Most are quite small.

I think this little one looks as though it should have a garden fairy perched atop it.

They do come in several different colors too.

These are the largest mushrooms - I think they are Shaggy Mains.

I do like the autumn leaf color of these mushrooms.

Here's our reward for walking on a gray drizzly day - a bird's nest!

I agree, a fairy would look good on top of that one. It's so shiny and perfect.

Beth, those mushrooms are so interesting!! When we go out for a walk up here, we see many different kinds. Guess we are rewarded for the rain!

The mushroom that should have the fairy perched on it looks just like the decoupage plaques my mom made in the early 70's! I didn't know mushrooms like that actually exist, lol.

Can't wait to see Leaves all stitched up!
