Thursday afternoon I went to Down to Earth and Grays looking for Pansies or Violas.
I found statues and coreopsis...
...and lime-green plants...
...and big blue pots...
...and Halloween decorations...
...and all sorts of fall bulbs...
...and a lovely sedum wreath.
But no Pansies or Violas!

Coreopsis is one of my most favorite perennials. I have so many varieties, but I'm still looking for the pink ones. The sedum wreath is gorgeous. My sedums look so different than those used in the wreath.
We have the Pansies and Violas out in the garden stores now, but they are hard to find because of all the mums. I can't remember ever seeing so many mums for sale.
Sounds like a fun trip even if you didn't find what you were looking for! Love those Halloween decorations!
