Woodpeckers - Part Four

So Woodpeckers Part Four!
Very excited to have a couple of Red-breasted Sapsuckers working on a tree this week.

I've seen the birds a couple of times while eating breakfast.

Tough to get photos of BOTH of them.

They move around constantly.

This is probably the best of the lot.

I did manage some decent 'singles'.

With this species the males and females are identical. 

No way to tell them apart.

I do love their brilliant red heads.

The top of the breast is red, then there is a bit of yellow.

They drill holes making sap wells.
