Another Frosty Day

The border is done, after some frogging as it was more 'random' than I originally realized.  Am now working on Old St. Nick himself.

Some very cold and frosty mornings. The sun is so low this time of year, that there are places that remain in the shade and the frost builds and grows each day until it begins to resemble snow.

Who's out and about?  The feeders have been very active during this cold spell.

Song Sparrow

Spotted Towhee

Golden-crowned Sparrow

Fox Sparrow

Dark-eyed Junco (Oregon)

And my winter color, not the red of a Cardinal, but a bright flash of Steller's Jay blue.

In this post, all the little guys do look cold. I love that red linen, just perfect for this time of year!

Yup--that red linen is a gorgeous color for a winter stitch! Our temps went up today and will again tomorrow, so lots of birds around, but too busy to stop by long enough for a good picture today! Your pictures couldn't be better! Hugs!
