A Flash of Color

I think I may have two male Anna's Hummingbirds.

Saturday morning, for just an instant I saw two birds fighting at the feeder, and I think they might have both been males.

If there are two guys that would help explain why I see one around so often.

This guy was kind enough to pose for me all the while complaining and chattering non-stop.

Even on a rather gray day his gorget and head feathers gleamed.

They remind me of knight's medieval armor. 

The blackberry canes make for a nice perch.
