Sunday's Hummers

Zoom!

A female Anna's

And look at this!

In late February the female Anna's are already nesting!

This is a ball of unprocessed cotton.
Never offer cat or dog hair if you are medicating for fleas.
And do not put out yarn bits as it can tangle and if it gets wet it will stay saturated.

I'd love to see a nest sometime.

The male Anna's impregnates the female and then he is done.
Does not help with nest building or feeding the newly hatched birds.
It's all the responsibility of the females.

So cool to see her gathering nest building essentials, Beth. Maybe she should strike though until the male takes a bit of responsibility. Happy Sunday!
