Male Acorn Woodpecker

This male is a mature bird with pink eyes.

This male is younger and has blue eyes.

Here's the female.

I do not see her as often as the males.

But she does come by to eat.

This last time in the company of one of the males. 

I've been watching this snag. This looks like new, fresh construction.

I think that I've seen an Acorn flighting out from this tree.

Is this a potential nesting site? Stay tuned.
