American Goldfinches are among the last species to mate, nest build, and raise their young.
Hmmm, even in the bird world a woman's work is never done.
I've never seen their nest either. But I have a bedding material similar to yours and it has all but disappeared this year. Just wish I could see all the nest where it is being used. Lots of birds pick bedding but I don't see where they take it.
