Snowdrops are a sign of spring's approach.
Here are some signs of spring's arrival.
An American Robin
Male Bushtit
Male Purple Finch
Male House Finch.
Note how the Purple Finch is saturated in color, down its breast and belly, even its wings. The House Finch's color is far more localized to head and neck, while the bottom of breast and wings are brown.
Who is the King of the Suet? The little female Downy Woodpecker is not much bigger than a Junco.
Here's my elusive female Acorn Woodpecker.
I do not often get a photo of her...
...much less a series of photos.

Such a pretty spring stitch! And that has to be the orangest breast on an American Robin that I've ever seen!! Great bird photos, Beth--as always :)
