Newest December Stitch

My newest stitch is a reindeer freebie design by Tantes Zolder.
You can see how it looks finished up as Melissa at Words and Blooms and Carol at Stitching Dreams have both stitched really nice versions of it.

The Acorns remain active.

They're busy with their granary tree. Look at ALL those holes they've drilled!  I wonder how many peanuts they have stored (as well as acorns and who knows what!)

All the woodpeckers enjoy suet this time of year.

I had two Flickers the other day.

A male

...and a female.

It always amuses me to see them on the ground!

Great nature photos as always... love the birds! and thanks for showing the cross stitch - I think I've found my deer ornament for 2014... not that I totally finished my one for 2013- it is stitched just not finished yet... but there is still time!

You'll love that new piece, Beth, and I give full credit to Melissa for inspiring my color choices. She has such good color sense :)

It is amazing that the female Flicker has turned her head totally around without a shift in her body! Whoa! I still have to get suet... but I see that the bird seed still out there is going down. Just haven't seen who is eating it yet! Hugs!
