While most of the turkey vultures head south for the winter...
...a few birds hang around.
Wednesday morning I had two vultures sitting and sunning on a large snag.

And further until they're fully extending.
Literally sun bathing!

Their wing span is amazing.
All of ours have headed south for the winter. They look so graceful up in the sky. Just not so pretty when up close to them.
