Monday Thoughts

As we go into spring, this small group of quail will pair up.

For the moment though they remain a group of between 9-11 birds.

A Cooper's Hawk struck twice on Saturday, but everyone escaped.

I continue to see White-crowned Sparrows.

And they continue to sing!

This is a great photo. It shows just how tiny the male Downy Woodpecker is. The same size as a Sparrow.

Sweet Easter piece, Beth! Relieved to hear the quail escaped the Cooper's Hawk. Are you seeing more quail this year?
