What a nice surprise.

Not one...

...but two Varied Thrush singing away on a gray morning.

They have a very ethereal unearthly song.

And they are truly lovely birds.

My photos do not do them justice.

A bright orange breast with black bands at the throat and eye.

They sound like no other bird.
