The numbers of Black-headed Grosbeaks have greatly diminished.

I did see one taking a bath.

Water is a wonderful thing to present in hot weather.

I think this youngster has been eating blackberries.

Honestly, I've not seen a mature male in several days.

They tend to arrive first in the spring and leave first in the late summer. 

I will miss their lovely colors and their beautiful song.
