Getting closer still to a finish!
Before I left for work Sunday morning, I looked out of the garage and what did I see?
This wonderful bird!
A puffed up female Pileated Woodpecker.
(She was preening her feathers, thus all puffed up.)
Not puffed
Once again all puffed up.
No vocalizations, so I'm glad I happened to see her.
Always a thrill.

The wolf is looking great, Beth. What a wonderful sighting of the female pileated woodpecker!
That is a very beautiful bird! I consider it a real treat when we get to see one.
