I'm trying to ignore our cold, foggy weather. We are under a weather advisory for air stagnation through Sunday. Just like living in Victorian London (without the smell of coal).
That said, I've been working on "Winter" a bit. This photo does not do the fabric justice - it's a very pretty ice blue - not gray.
Every morning when I go outside, I am quickly surrounded by Scrub Jays and Steller's Jays.
If I can't have Cardinals, these birds will do to provide me with some Winter color.
Much like Crows and Ravens, the Jays will eat about anything.
Besides the sunflower seeds, I usually toss out some stale bread...
...or cold french fries!
As I said they'll eat about anything!
And look pretty while doing so.

Love those Jays! They certainly brighten up a dreary day. Wish we had them around here.
Love the colors in your piece. Love the Jays too -- they're so pretty! Air stagnation? Ewwwww.....
They're really beautiful, such a lovely colour.
Nice progress on your stitching! I love those jays. I wish we had them here!
Aww love those jays...sweet stitching..
Love for you x
Such a pretty blue those Jays have! Our Jays are a much lighter blue. This morning, I actually heard the weatherman say that your part of the country was having a stagnation. I had no idea what that meant as we've never heard a weather term like that in this area.
I never heard of stagnation either! I think the world is going nuts making stuff up as they go along. Now they are naming every single weather front that blows through--didn't know that till today! Hello? Not enough to do?? Get a REAL job! Doing REAL work!! Meanwhile, I love the pictures of the jays--they certainly liven the countryside! Hugs!
I am getting very tired of these cold, foggy bad air days!! Love to see the jays! We had them at the spot of our feeder even before we put it up.
Those jays are so pretty!
Very pretty. Especially against the winter hues.
