I found this same design in another JCS publication - the colors were changed and the owl renamed "Halloween Owl". I like the seasonal colors used on "Fall Owl".
And speaking of seasonal color...
With the rains due to return Monday, my sister went down to her Dahlia Garden and cut several bouquets.
When I cut dahlias for a bouquet, I end up with something that looks like it was designed by someone who is colorblind. My sister, on the other hand, has a very nice eye for color. She came up with three 'cool' bouquets in whites and pinks...
And four 'hot' bouquets.
Isn't this arrangement a celebration of all that is Autumn?
A bouquet of 'Alfred Grille'.
For drama, I love old 'Harvey Koop'. The blooms are supposed to be mottled like the one on the left. The plant on the right reverted back to its parent, 'Spartacus'.
Our maternal Grandmother was partial to the sweet little pom dahlias.
My sister read all of the many comments on Sunday's post - she was very pleased to see how many of you enjoyed viewing her garden.

Oh Beth! I have never had such a sad, pathetic year for dahlias. I couldn't even comment yesterday. I am so glad though to see such beauties. Thanks for the great pics.

Love your owl! And the bouquets -- exquisite!
Cute owl!! And as for the dahlias, both yesterday in the garden and today in vases--Exquisite! I have yet to research growing them! Time just flies by... Hugs!
Love the colors in that little owl! Your sister does have a great eye for color! Her bouquets are beautiful.
They are so beautiful!!
Such a cute owl, and WOW--those dahlias are stunning, Beth!! Your sister obviously has two green thumbs. My dahlias are always sickly looking and deformed. Not sure what my problem is... I never knew there were so many varieties--just love the pom ones!
Really love that cute owl and your sister's bouquets are BEAUTIFUL!
