I'd Like to Talk to You...Via Email Anyway

I've got my blog set up so that when people are kind enough to comment, a copy of their comment is sent to me via my email provider.  That allows me to interact - answer questions and thank people.  But recently I've noticed that when I attempt to reply to an emailed comment, instead of an email address when I click on their Google account name (ie Sun Ray or Casa Diamond), I get: noreply-comment@blogger.com .  The bummer is that I'm unable to answer, and often I'd really like to.  I worry (I'm that way) that some people might think I'm rude or lazy or some such thing, when it's just I'm unable to respond.  I think most people don't even realize that their Google account is set up with this no-reply default.  If that is your choice, great!  If not, I found a blog post that explains (simply) how to change your Google account so that your email address is provided when you post a comment (but only to the blog owner!). Here it is!

And that's enough lecturing on that topic; on with the show!

Design - "Baubles - December"
Designer - SamSarah Design Company
Fabric - 28 count Newport Natural / Cream Zweigart
Fibers - GAST & WDW - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - 1 January 2012
Finished - 4 January 2012

The scan of the finish is a bit blurry - the nine buttons raised it up on the scanner.  It's pretty cute anyway.  There's a set of nine snowmen in this series which I've got ready to stitch sometime this month.

I visited Gray's Garden Center yesterday.

I was taken with these lavender gazing balls.

The frilly ornamental Kale looked like big cabbage roses.

It was warm, and I mean warm - 67F - and sunny.
Look, the bees are out in the camellia blossoms!

Yet more ornamental kale - love these deep green leaves.

Hello Beth

The no reply blogger is a funny one. Last week Google froze my account until they made contact with me as they picked up someone trying to hack into my account.

After it was reinstated I had become a non reply blogger and I had to change my settings. So weird.

I love "Baubles", the colours and buttons are so pretty.

The cabbage roses are great additions to the garden, we have grown them quite a few years but they don't make it through our winter and you don't always see them at the garden centre. Our guests always comment on them.

I feel the same way about the noreply comment. It's frustrating! I worry like you do, that people will think I'm being rude etc. when I don't (can't) respond.
I love your colorful mittens!
Those gazing balls are gorgeous.
67 degrees - I'm sitting here in my long underwear. :D

That was an impressively quick stitch, very nice too.

I love the Baubles! I can't decide about the ornamental kale. We had it in our beds in Louisville, but since I moved here, I haven't figured a good place for them. hmmmmm..

The Baubles are lovely. So are your other pictures.
I have no clue how my google is set up. But seen that I do get answers I assume it's done right?
I get the no reply on my blog too...the only time that it really worries me is when I already wrote an answer to find out that...erm...can't send it. Which is really my own fault of not paying attention to detail.

I know what you mean. It is so frustrating to get really nice comments from people and not be able to even say thanks. I just hope that most are fellow bloggers so will understand.

I love those little gloves :)

Oh, that always gets me too! Some of my favorite replies *always* have the no comment thing, which makes me sad because then I can't really comment back. :(
