Seeing a Raven most mornings.

House hunting continues.

I counted 8 Violet-green Swallows on Sunday.

Lots of Chickadees around.

Sometimes they pose.

The left side is the best side!

Singing a chickadee song! 

It has several choruses. 

Pleased to see a White-breasted Nuthatch.

Walking upside down is most amusing.

Male and female Hairy Woodpecker.

Here they are again!

I might be having Acorn Woodpecker turf wars!

Sunday morning there was lots of activity and LOTS of squawking!

Three Starling and three Acorns.

I think I counted as many as five Acorn Woodpeckers.

They were very vocal and spent most of the time flying about chasing one another.

Let's not forget the Flickers.

I've seen 6 birds in the morning.

I hear a Pileated Woodpecker, but no close in sightings.

And where's that darned Sapsucker?

Easter

HAPPY EASTER ! 

Decorations for Easter. 

I have several glass bunnies

And eggs galore! 

This display sits atop a bookcase

As does my collection of salt & pepper shakers.

I also have several egg wreaths.

And egg trees.

Remember when Hallmark used to have Easter ornaments?

Many of these are by Marjolein Bastin.

And it wouldn't be Easter without a bunny or two.

Bunnies and an egg tree. Purchased at different times, the colors of the bunnies and eggs go together perfectly.

Saturday's Hummers

 The Rufous are here!

The male is mostly hanging out in the front of the house.

It's shaded so his colors are muted.

Here he is in the back of the house in the sunlight!

And the females are back too!

They look similar to Anna's...

...but have brown on the sides of their bellies.

Here are two ladies chatting.  Perhaps their talking about their journey north.

The Violet-green Swallows have returned.

And already they are house-hunting.

They are pair up too.

This box is under consideration.

As is this box.

Thus far I've seen three pairs.  I hope more arrive including a Tree Swallow pair or two.
