He's baacckk!!
Thursday evening I had my first of the season confirmed sighting of a male Rufous Hummingbird.
The males head north earlier than the females and juveniles to scope out a territory to defend when the females arrive.
Anyway, so glad to see one has returned.
This was around 7pm so not the best light to show of his copper throat colors.
I'm hoping to get some better photos Friday and Saturday.
And now we await the return of the females!
