This kit came with a tuck pillow, creating an Instant Finish!  

Besides cross stitch, the design used Satin, Herringbone, and Double Leviathan stitches.

Turkey Vultures sunning.

A Great Blue Heron flew by overhead.

Legs out-stretched

Neck bent in.

Male Black-headed Grosbeak

Singing up a storm.

I think the Violet-green Swallows are nesting.

Can you see the dried grasses sticking out of the box?

Fly-by

Keeping watch.

Not much to share - for the past few days all I've seen is the male Anna's.

Who is out and about?

A little brush rabbit!

Barry the Buck

Look at all that new antler growth.

So far he's maintaining a nice symmetry.

Chipmunk

Burying sunflower seeds... 

...and making a HUGE mess.

Dirt everywhere...

...including on the chipmunk.

I think this female Western Gray Squirrel is nursing little ones!

And yes, a bear's behind!

 A nice selection of woodpeckers to share - including a Flicker.

A small male Downy Woodpecker.

He's not ceding ground to the larger Black-headed Grosbeak.

As promised - a cute male Flicker.

A female and male Flicker.

Each happily eating suetish stuff. 

The lone female Acorn Woodpecker.

She's a mature bird, so I'm hoping for offspring. 

Very alert.

Contemplative.
