March Trail Camera Photos - Dorothy's Creek

The usual suspects came by in March.

Several shots of a gray squirrel.

Running

Leaping

And running again.

Some skunk activity too.

Tail up in the air.

Raccoon having a drink.

An opposum.

Long, skinny tail.

Back for another visit.

And off.

The turkeys strolled by.

I counted five birds.

Deer - ears alert!

Bucolic scene

Bobcat activity here too.

Early evening

And early morning.

What will April bring? A bear?

March Trail Camera Photos - The Backyard

Not much activity in the backyard in March. We managed to set the camera upside down, so that when I turned the photos around all the information is now upside down at the top.

The one surprise was a pair of turkeys - female close in the male further away.

Here's the male stomping...

As per normal, a few deer came by.

I regularly see a group of four does.

Nice action shot.

Moving on.

Had a bobcat show up too.

These night shots are over-exposed - I think the moon was out.

So that's it for March.

I tend to think of bunnies as peaceful critters, nibbling on plants maybe, but generally not bothering anyone. One bird in particular through the centuries has also been a symbol of hope and peace.

The dove.

I am seeing up to five Mourning Doves.

They are very early nesters (February) and in some parts of the country can have up to six, yes six broods in a season! Wow! That sounds exhausting.

They are ground feeders and thus are often hawk food.

Here's a male Downy Woodpecker.

The male Flicker have started their early morning drumming on our metal flashings on the roof.

As best I could tell, this female paid them absolutely no mind.

She was all about having breakfast.
