Saturday's Critters

I had a large bear stomp through the backyard Tuesday afternoon, but no photos. 

Lots and lots of Gray Squirrel activity

Back up to two squirrels

And one rabbit

And one chipmunk

Band-tailed Pigeons are amazing acrobats.

I don't have many American Goldfinches - but here's a nice pair.

Wednesday's Walk

Off we go!

Our Hawthorn has a ridiculous amount of berries this year.

I'm not sure I've ever seen the tree so leaded down with fruit.

The backyard has turned into a see of plantains...

...and Queen Anne's Lace.

Hazel brush has new catkins

And hints of fall - cobwebs

I like this one.

The Douglas fir cones are dripping with sap.

Some are green...

And some have begun to to mature, turning brown.
