Hummingbird sighting have been few this past week.
I think most of the females are nesting.
But I can count on this male Anna's.
He shows up bright and early and spends most of the day guarding the backyard.
He is small, but mighty.
I am hoping that a Rufous or two shows up soon.
In the meantime, I'll enjoy the show this bird puts on.
The play of light makes all the difference.
