Molting

Design - "On Seas of Blue"
Pamphlet- "Noah and Company"
Designer - Alma Lynne Designs
Fabric - 32 count raw linen
Fibers - DMC 2 strands over 2 threads

I fiddled with this design quite a bit personalizing it to my tastes. I changed one band to a rainbow and added the blue borders between the bands.

The crows are homely.

They are molting.

They look bald-headed.

Still have four of them - a family unit.

Designer - Kandace Thomas
Fabric - 28 count Platinum Cashel linen
Fibers - DMC - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - 29 April 2012

I enjoyed stitching this.  I think my favorite part is the 'rainbow hill' upon which the Ark rests.  I had to chart the year 2012 as numbers were not included.  I also added my initials 'E' and 'C'.

What's up?

A California Scrub Jay

An American Goldfinch

Yep - an Acorn Woodpecker

A female

LOTS of Band-tailed Pigeons

Well I saw a Black Phoebe, but did not get a photo.

I did manage several photos of a Bewick's Wren.

Smart looking bird

Classic wren pose with tail up.

Quizzical

They've been chattering and coming to eat suet.

Fall transition is fun.

Fabric - 30 count Natural linen
Fibers - DMC - 2 strands over 2 threads

A little stitch.

With the changing of the seasons, I'm seeing some different birds.

And that includes the Red-breasted Nuthatch.

This guy

Not this guy!

I've had them at both front and back feeders.

Right-side up and upside down!

Busy bird

The striping on the head is striking.

Best photo of the group.
