Early October

It's been several weeks now since I've had a gardening post.  This time of year is "clean up" time for the gardener - my least favorite time.  Lots of work to empty out all the pots of tender annuals, and store and over-winter anything that I think might have a chance of surviving my benign neglect.  It always seems overwhelming - a couple hundred pots to sort out - and sad too.  Not that there is not beauty this time of year!  The paperbark maple above and the seasonal wreath below make that point quite strongly.

Cat

This is "Cat" a companion piece to "Jack" which I did a bit earlier.
I used Rain Forest linen and the floss as indicated.

This is my 300th finished piece.
(At least since I've started keeping track in a spreadsheet).
Ironically my 200th piece was also a Sisters and Best Friends creation - "Over the Moon - Fall Black Cat" which I completed in September 2004.

Cat - A New Start

This morning I kitted up "Cat" by Sisters and Best Friends.
It uses the same fabric and many of the same fibers as "Jack".

Let it Snow

I think this is going to be wonderful when it is finished.  Interesting use of color and stitches include smyra, eyelet, satin, and rhodes.  I love the Ice Blue linen for some reason it did not photograph well.

Warm Wishes

Another little cutie from Val's Little Stuff.
This is called "Warm Wishes".
Stitched on a 7" x 7" piece of 30 count Natural Northern Cross linen.
I used the WDW fibers as charted.
