Yay!

Designer - Brightneedle
Fabric - 28 count cream linen
Fibers - Anchor - 2 strands over 2 threads
Started - February 2011
Competed - 14 March 2011

I think this is one of my favorite Valentine designs - I like the addition of some bronze and yellow - I might have to get this framed some day.

Yay! A Red-breasted Sapsucker!
I'm so pleased I saw this bird and managed to snap off one photo.
I've not seen a Sapsucker for months and months.
I did have three Acorn Woodpeckers fly in briefly last week - again no photos.

The Steller's Jays are much better at posing.

Just three photos today.

The pair of crows have returned.

And a Band-tailed Pigeon or two shows up every day or so.
It's way early to see them here, so each time I report to eBird, I make the Lane County Rare Birds Report.

And what a nice surprise. I had two Red-breasted Nuthatches at the Big Bird Feeder.

Ode to Steller's Jays

I had a dozen birds Sunday morning.

They found the peanuts I'd tossed out for the deer.

One in the mouth several in the crop.

They can easily get 3 or 4 peanuts at a time before they fly off.

There's enough for everyone!
