There's the pink heart, here's the blue bird.

A mighty fine feathered Steller's Jay.

They have looking inquisitive down to an art.

Don't you agree?

And their coloring is something to admire.

The Blue feathers with the black stripes on the wings and tail. Awesome!

I think this older finish is the perfect one to share as we transition from February to March as it continues to be cold and threaten to snow.  A snowman with a heart on his hat and a banner "for you".

I continue to see as many as seven Flickers in the morning.

A great woodpecker day as I once again got to see a Red-breasted Sapsucker. 

I can't get over that bright red head.

I got a couple of nice profile photos.

You can even see the bit of red on the breast that gives the bird its name.

Sunday's Hummers

I think there's only two birds at the moment.

This female...

And this male.

When ever I watch, I only see two birds.  

Saturday's Critters

Even with a bit of snow, nothing usual to report.

But look at this Gray Squirrel.

An this moment, it does not look like ANY of his claws are holding on to the tree bark.

He looks like he should plummet to the ground.

My first sighting of the year - Turkey Vulture.

Black on gray. The Communing Crows flying back home for the night. 

Chestnut-back Chickadee

I'm not seeing or hearing many of these this winter.

Maybe just two birds max. They are usually in mixed flocks with Black-capped Chickadees.

I woke up to this Tuesday morning.

A couple of inches of snow.

I know a lot of the country is getting slammed with dangerous winter weather.

This is NOT that!

Just a dusting of snow to 'pretty up" the world for a couple of hours.

I do enjoy seeing it.

This Song Sparrow was true to its name - singing up a storm!

The theme is red and black - stitching and birds!

Got to see a Red-breasted Sapsucker once again.

Males and females look identical - usual in woodpeckers.

Certainly the bird fits my theme.

And my blue-eyed boy.
