Love the colors in this one - and it's fitting as we are see a gray fox every once in a while. 

Finally!

An Evening Grosbeak pair came close in. 

And stayed for a while.

Here's the female.

And here's the male.

Frowny bird.

Here they are together.

They both stopped by for a drink.

Most birds (other than pigeons and doves) drink water using these methods:

1. Sip and Tilt up:  Most birds use this method (and the next one) to collect water in their beaks.  Then they turn their heads up to send the water to the back of their throats.
2. Suck and Tilt:  Looks a lot like the first method but is quicker because they collect a lot more water by actively sucking it up.

And here's the other great news.

Finally, finally, finally.

After weeks of just one lone male, a female came with a male.

Nothing can happen unless I have a mated pair of birds.
