Chickadees are little birds, right?
So are the adorable Bushtits which returned to the suet feeders earlier in the month.
Light eye means a female.

...and that way.
Deep thinking.
My platform feeder has proven popular with the Black-headed Grosbeaks.
The baby birds have fledged.
And like all fledglings, they beg!
This adult female is having nothing to do with the begging babies!
What a sweet bird stitch, Beth! I don't think I have seen that one before. It looks like your Grosbeaks are enjoying the platform feeder.
